Little back story, I met this amazing lady when I switched to her Salon in Woodbury, MN a few years back. Our mutual love for hiking, kayaking, traveling and other fun outdoorsy stuff, made us quick friends!!

What a year. It was a filled with growth, self improvement, traveling and incredible clients!! I got to travel to some truly amazing places this year, and help some of you create the best elopement & engagement adventures ever. This year I photographed 26 Weddings and Elopements & 39 Adventure Sessions & Engagements! We traveled to 10 different states & visited 7 National Parks.

Quick intro here, I had never really explored the East Coast before, so when I booked a destination elopement on Folley Beach in South Carolina (view blog post here) I immediately started planning a little road trip around the area! So the plan started with us flying into Atlanta, GA, renting a car and heading to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park!

Amanda & Emily were headed to celebrate their newlywed status with their family this summer. They decided on a quick pre elopement photo session in their dresses along the bluffs in St. Croix Falls, WI beforehand.

Being big fans of the rugged and woodsy Lake Superior shoreline, hiking around Silver Bay, MN was the obvious choice for their engagement photos!

Glacier National Park in freaking Montana... what?!? I'm actually here?!!!" After the countless hours on the road to this wild west mountain town, I remember waking up in the tent in awe.. feeling as tho I had to be dreaming or something.

Feeling a tad bit defeated upon arrival to Glacier National Park in Montana hearing the iconic "Going to the Sun Road" was closed for the season still due to snow at higher elevations (we had no idea it was still very early in the year for them... think spring conditions in the middle of June!!)

Glacier National Park in Montana is the perfect place for your engagement photo adventure. It is literally breathtaking, whether you are taking in the 360 views from the "going to the sun road," or hitting the trails to one of the many glacial lakes, it is a mountain lovers' must see!

Imagine hiking through a gorge, wearing your wedding gear, hand in hand with your love... to a waterfall where you promise yourselves to each other in the rawness of nature. Simply, two people in love, devoting their lives to each other!

Tasha & Derek wandered the wooded bluffs of the St. Croix River for their engagement photos this last fall.

Surrounded by their closest people on their favorite beach in South Carolina, Kerry and Adam got to marry each other. They had their first look at White Point Garden in Charleston, SC amongst the beautiful Oaks overlooking the harbor!

Hope you all have been having a great start to what finally feels like summer!!!! I love living in northern Wisconsin most of the time, but this last winter had me (and I'm sure many other fellow Wisconsinites) thinking of warmer places to call home!!!

This hidden gem at the end of Gooseberry Falls park is one of my favorite spots to shoot in Two Harbors.
