Wedding at Bluefin Bay Resort in Tofte

Kate and Jason’s wedding day at the Bluefin Bay Cove in Tofte, Minneosta was beyond amazing. The resort is nestled right on the shoreline of the lake with incredible views all around. They have many suites, hotel rooms and even a restaurant with private party rooms available! It’s perfect for really any sized intimate wedding or elopement up to 50 guests. They have their own pebble beach access to Lake Superior on their property that’s perfect for setting up some chairs or standing for your vow ceremony, its even wheel chair accessible! The rocky outcroppings, tree line and waterfront views makes for the perfect pairing of adventurous views meets comfortable guests for an outdoor wedding or elopement. Kate + Jason’s Story

Kate and Jason actually met when they both got stuck elevator for 2-3 hours back in college! Followed by the two getting engaged the day after Thanksgiving during a family photo session for their Christmas card turned Jason proposing!

These two both love being out on the lake in the summer so getting to have their wedding ceremony on the lake was perfect for them!

They had the full North Shore experience- hiking, beautiful Lake Superior views, cozy resort vibes and some epic 300ft cliff views on their wedding day! They started their day getting ready separately at the resort, then had their first look on the rocks just outside one of their suites. From there everyone headed to the cove where Kate and Jason said their vows to each other witnessed by their closest friends and family as the subtle sounds of Lake Superior waves crashing at their feet echoed softly. Followed by a toast on the beach before Kate and Jason headed out for a little wedding day adventure in the MN Sawtooth Mountains! The day ended with the couple going back to the Bluefin Grill for dinner with their guests and a small bonfire on the lake after sunset.
