Tettegouche State Park Winter Elopement
Eloping at Tettegouche State Park along Lake Superior in the winter is such an incredible experience. Jessica & Zack have been inseparable since the day they met... always knowing they were meant for each other!! All the feels! Technically these two got married in the Domincan Republic, but they are so dang amazing & truth be told, I wanted to be apart of their elopement day, so we started planning an outdoorsy styled elopement shoot with them! Since the North Shore is very important to them, it was the obvious choice for a location. They had got engaged in Two Harbors, MN during a hiking adventure session with me, which took Jess by complete surprise & was filled with loads of happy tears as you can imagine- check that out here!! So I wanted to make sure to capture that same look and feel to their adventurous elopement photos as well!! So we found this hidden cove in Tettagouche State Park while scouting the trail the day before & it was perfect!
A 4 am wake up call can be tough, but sunrise adventures are so totally worth it! With the sun barely peaking over the cliffs & the pebble beach still very frozen we started setting everything up. We laid out the Persian rug, tons of mismatched throw pillows & decorated the table with geodes & floral centerpieces.
Once we had the whole picnic area setup, Jessica & Zack started getting ready on the beachβ¦. I know what your thinking & YES, these two are practically super heroes or something, it was only a whopping 4 degrees that morning... they just powered straight through the cold looking all sexy & like pro models! We adventured around the frozen landscape all morning, Jess & Zack were hand in hand & loving on each other literally every second, it was sooo good!
