From the rugged North Shore’s of Lake Superior to the wilds of the Boundary Waters — there’s all levels of adventure to be had in this incredible State.
As elopement photographers we travel all over the world to document couples wedding day experiences, but Northern Minnesota specifically, holds a special place in our hearts. It’s a place we go frequently to explore and fuel our love of the outdoors.

Minnesota is such a diverse place to start your forever together.
The State is filled with epic views, 10,000 lakes, a small mountain range, so many waterfalls, rocky shorelines, deep forests, hiking trails and so much wildlife.
It’s home to all types of adventure, you can road trip The North Shore or The Gunflint Trail hitting up all the lakeside views along the way, or grab your hiking gear and head out on an all day journey along The Superior Hiking Trail peeping waterfalls and wildlife the whole way.

TWO HARBORS, MN
The North Shore is my favorite part of the Minnesota. It’s so diverse, rugged and has an untouched nature vibe I cannot get enough of. If you are looking for tons of amazing places both inland and along the shoreline to explore as well as some amazing tiny towns, good eats and a killer brewery, check out Two Harbors! It’s gonna make you fall in love with tiny harbor towns!
LUTSEN, MN
Home of the Minnesota Sawtooth Mountains. Yes, you read that right, many people have no idea there is a small mountain range in Northern MN and its truly one of my faves! Named from the very uniformed and craggy shapes of the rock face resembling the teeth of a large saw blade. The exposed rock is a gentle pink hue as the rock itself was formed from an ancient rhyolitic lava flow. Ok, epic nerdy stuff and epic views aside, there are great places to eat, stay and enjoy some true northwoods style relaxation thats perfect after some wedding day adventuring.
SILVER BAY, MN
This is truly a hidden gem area of the Minnesota. So many people have no idea Minnesota can be this epic with it’s huge cliffs, sea caves, dense forests, black beaches and rocky shoreline’s. Huge fan of this area for off the beaten path weddings with a smaller to no guest list.
