Getting married your way may be hiking up a mountain at sunrise, just the two of you, or it might be inviting all your friends and family to your home and throwing one hell of a outdoor wedding in Wisconsin, like these two did!! Erik and Alexa own a home along the bluffs of the St. Croix River. Designed and built by an architect in the mid 80’s, their home is truly unique and so dang beautiful! My favorite part is the full size tree growing through the center of it and Alexa’s painting room in the top peak!
Erik and Alexa are two of the strongest and sweetest people I have ever met! They have endured and overcame so much together, all the while, being so dang in love and full of many, many laughs!
Morning mimosa’s, happy tears & late night bonfires.
Now let’s get to their dreamy backyard wedding!!! They picked out a beautiful spot on their property, just at the tree line, with a peak of the river slipping through. Surrounded by all their guest’s, Erik and Alexa vowed to forever together, it was truly a beautiful experience. After the ceremony, we hopped on the wheeler and headed down to the rocky shoreline for a little adventuring. Followed by their first dance, delicious dessert and a big ol’ bonfire, we finished the evening with a captivating lantern ceremony!
